Paul joined Humberside Fire & Rescue Service in 1999 as a graduate. He took over the role of Director of Public Safety in 2017 and the NFCC national lead for UwFS/AFA’s in summer 2018. He has recently been appointed Director of Service Delivery (Prevention, Protection, Emergency Response, Inc. Medical) and is also the Project Executive for the NFCC Central Programme Office ‘Digital Project’. Working with the Home Office, Paul and the (NFCC UwFS) team are developing and refining a range of best practice toolkits and guidance to address the increasing burden of false fire alarm signals.The team is working strategically towards lowering lost time and failure demands resulting from UwFS and enable increased productivity for emergency responders and business alike.
