Building on the NSI Summit’s theme of ‘Strengthening Partnerships’, representatives from approved companies and industry stakeholders will be given an opportunity to focus on trends and developments in security and fire safety.
Following a plenary session where delegates can hear from Richard Jenkins, Chief Executive, NSI and other key industry figures, this year’s programme will feature three concurrent elective streams delivering 15 dedicated seminars on Guarding Services, Fire Safety and Electronic Security.
The programme will include:
- Karen Byard from the NHS talking about life safety fire risk assessments in critical environments.
- The SIA presenting the new self-assessment workbook that will come in to force in spring 2019, the basis for the ACS approval.
- Robert Conlon, Head of Standards, NSI, will outline the new audit requirements for PD6662 for the design, installation and maintenance of security alarms, essential for Police URNs.
- David Wilkinson of the BSIA, will update approved companies on the ECHO (electronic call handling operation) project to deliver a centralised fully automated electronic call handling service to reduce pressure on the emergency services and alarm receiving centres (ARCs)
Further session details will follow shortly.
